The evening will showcase Giveton Gelin on trumpet, Esteban Castro on piano, Adrian D’Aguilar on double bass, and Giveson Gelin on percussion.

Giveton Gelin, a Juilliard School graduate, has rapidly ascended the jazz world, earning accolades such as Youngarts Finalist, Betty Carter Jazz Ahead, and DC Jazz Prix winner. His impressive collaborations with jazz luminaries like Kenny Garret, Ron Carter, Christian McBride, Jon Batiste, and the late Roy Hargrove have solidified his reputation as a formidable talent in contemporary jazz.

Hargrove, a mentor to Giveton, once said, “I really love Giveton’s sound and vocal quality that he has when he plays. He is one of the few players that I have heard that actually sings through the horn.” This evening promises to showcase Giveton’s extraordinary ability to blend intellect, feeling, and intensity, perpetuating the highest levels of jazz music.
