At this months Cinema Club on September 27th and 28th, we are pleased to share with you another strong Bahamian documentary film, “Two -Faced: Gender Inequality in the Bahamas” by Gina Rodgers – Sealy.
“Two-Faced: Gender Inequality in The Bahamas” is a documentary that explores our
rape culture, the lack of women’s rights and the root cause and toxic expressions of gender inequality in the country. This 80-minute independent documentary was created by a 95% female production team and the filmmaker will be present for a conversation after the screenings.
Like The Island House itself, the 48-seat cinema was designed to attract and captivate both guests and local culture buffs alike. Regularly featuring both blockbuster and art house films, the versatile space also hosts live music, seminars and speaking events.

Refunds are only processed when requests are submitted to info@the-island-house.com prior to 48 hours of the screening, any refund requests received within 48hours of the screening date and time will not be processed. Requests to refund a portion of a total amount of tickets purchased (1 of 4 tickets purchased, for example) can not be processed, the guest will have to request a refund and re-book within the stipulated time stated above.
